MrB's bench press has been in the alfresco for months ... as he has already filled up his detached garage with cars... and there is no way I am letting him put it in any of the spare bedrooms since I am trying to eaven out the floor colour ...
Do any of you have gym equipment or weights on timber floor? If so, what have you got in between in order to protect your floor?
I've been looking at amazon.com and although there are a few options such as rubber tiles and mats, I am not sold on their looks as they will be taking up a portion of our home office/study :(

Oh wow, what a conundrum. I would want something thick like the tiles, perhaps a couple of layers, just to distribute the weight over a greater area.
ReplyDeleteDo you have room to build him another shed??
I like to think I'm nice... But not THAT nice. Hehe
DeleteHe already has a 90sqm detached garage. 3m high ceilings, brick veneer, terracotta roof tiles. The works! He got away with too much as it is methinks :)
If I could afford timber floor like that he'd b putting his gym stuff out in his man cave, no question!
ReplyDeleteSee, I'm way too nice :(
DeleteHi B - You can get these rubber backed carpet squares from Bunnings - we are thinking of putting them in the workshop area of the garage .... no cold feet for me when I have to use the outdoor fridge. Maybe they would work?
ReplyDeleteI've seen them before but not sure if they are too ... garage-y to go inside, in the room which will be part gym part home office :(
